Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Naltrexone is in a class of drug known as an opiate antagonists and primarily used to manage alcohol or opioid dependence. [1][2] Low-dose naltrexone (LDN) describes the off-label use of the medication Naltrexone at low doses [3] which has positive effects for various types of conditions. I'll let you do your research and understand how it works and how/when to take it.

I recommend diluting the Naltrexone yourself. Since the dose is from 1.0 mg to 5.0 mg [2], this means that a 50 mg pill of Naltrexone will last you for 10 to 50 days, which amounts to just pennies per day. Just crush one 50 mg pill very well into a glass bottle and add 50 ml of distilled water, and use a calibrated oral medicine syringe (10 ml) with a bottle adapter (like this one). Mix the liquid well (before each use) and always keep in the refrigerator. After a few hours, the pill should be completely dissolved. Mix well each time befure using and take 1 ml for each 1.0 mg of Naltrexone that you want. Drink a glass of water with your daily dose which should be taken at a specific time at night.

I explained this process and provided a few links to my general medical practitioner and she gave me a prescription for Naltrexone.

There's also this list of pharmacies that produce LDN. However, in my experience, having a pharmacy chemist produce custom pills by mixing some inactive powder with Naltrexone can increase the cost very significantly.  Furthermore, the produt we received (from China) didn't appear to be very effective.

Please do your own research and decide if this is a good product and method for you.  I have not provided all details (timing, dosage) so do review the research.
